Well, it seems the scooter is languishing at the Allied terminal in Corona Ca. Their tracking system indicates it was scheduled for loading on April 5, which is yesterday in case you’re counting. For some reason there are some older songs that are coming to mind. First off would be “A Worried Man” by the Kingston Trio. Yes, I am worrying that the scooter won’t get to Savannah in time for the start of the Cannonball. Unfortunately, since the Santa Barbara group effort (and transportation of equipment etc.) fell apart, I’m at the mercy of commercial providers for shipping and delivery. And, even though it’s not that close to the actual definition of paranoia, part of a verse from Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” comes to mind: “Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep…” Here’s hoping Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” will prevail.
