Maps

Yes, we now have old fashioned maps thanks to AAA.  Just in case the electronic navigation devices (Garmin and iPhone) happen to fail I’ll have the paper maps with appropriate route information available as a backup.   They will augment the official rider’s route information we will get for the ride.  The nice thing about paper maps is they do not depend on electricity or the need to protect them from dropping or getting wet.  Well, they are subject to catching on fire, but then again that could come in handy in a survival situation.  These are samples of how I’ll have information displayed, but for strategic competitive reasons I don’t have the planned fuel stops etc. displayed yet.
